...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.Effectual : producing or able to produce a desired effect (would also mean prayers can be effective or ineffective)
Fervent : having or showing great warmth or intensity of spirit, feeling, enthusiasm, etc.;
Availeth : To be of use or advantage; to answer or serve the purpose; to have strength, force, or efficacy sufficient to accomplish the object. (Making much power available)
1. Decide what you want from God.

When we are babies in Christ and/or just saved, we do not automatically know how to pray. Even Jesus' own disciples asked him to teach them how to pray (Luke 11:1). An effectual fervent prayer life can be learned!
